Mooresville is a place for
everyone! The gorgeous, historic downtown area resembles a scene from
yester-year America, with
quaint shops lining Main and Broad streets.
Enjoy outdoor activities such as bass fishing, boating, and various
water-sports in North Carolina's
largest lake. When it is time to slow things down, be certain to delight
in the unique dining experience that the Catawba Queen or Catawba Belle has to
offer.
Mooresville is perhaps best
known as the home of dozens of NASCAR racing teams and to the NASCAR Technical
Institute. Walk shop to shop and visit the home base of such greats
as Sterling Marlin, Ricky Rudd and Rusty Wallace. Just a short
distance away is the Dale Earnhardt Incorporated empire on Coddle Creek Road. Visitors are
welcome at most shops, where you can view the cars as they're repaired
and primed for action, see team memorabilia or shop for souvenirs.
